So I most definitely didn't complete the 48 hour challenge. Nor did I really even start it. Right now, I'm stuck twenty pages into Catchfire. Whoops.
I'm going to have to make a trip to the library (and by that, I mean Emmaus, Solehi, and, most definitely, Bethlehem) to take out books on tape to put on my Zune. At work, we're allowed to listen to mp3-players, so I ended up listening to the first five Harry Potters that way during the month leading up to Deathly Hallows. This year I'm planning to do the entire LOTR, and maybe even brush up on some Dickens or Jane Austen. I'll definitely have to get Portuguese Irregular Verbs, and the other two books in that trilogy (if you will).
That was also how I finished Whales on Stilts! (It's an excellent listen), and the third Septimus Heap, and The Thief Lord and The Tale of Despereaux, and, um, other ones that I can't recall at the moment.
The libraries here around have a pretty nice selection of books on cd. Emmaus even offers this download of the audio files of some books (on their website). The catch is, you can't burn them to your iPod or Zune (I'm not too keen on lugging my laptop around just so I can listen to a book).
But anyway. I'll probably also do the entire seven books of HP again. Probably.

48 Hour Book Challenge
Well. We'll see how well this turns out (it'll be the first weekend of my return for the entire summer, so my family might want to see me, not just a book jacket). But, anyway.
So, my plans for reading include (i'll edit in the authors later):
Foundling/ D.M. Cornish (I think I'm actually 50 pages into this book)
The Runes of the Lyre/
Catchfire/
Messenger/ Lois Lowry
Theodosia and the Serpents of Chaos/
The Bellmaker/ Brian Jacques
The Keeper of the Isis Light/ Monica Hughes
and whatever books I find on my bookshelf that I still need to read. Oh! Like:
The Prophet of Yonwood/ Jeanne duPrau (I know I'm spelling that wrong)
Except that was in my sister's possession last I checked, so who knows where it is know? Probably buried under the piles of stuff covering her room.
